Emily E (Sears) Lodge Clark of Hamilton, wife of Forrester (Tim) Clark, retired Boston investment banker and North Shore sportsman, and widow of former US senator and ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge, died yesterday. She was 86. She married Clark in 1987. Lodge died in 1985. Respected and admired wherever her first husband's duties tokk him, be it Washington, Vatican City, the UN or South Vietnam, Mrs Clark was a diplomat in her own right without ever consciously trying. She was an experience traveler and a skilled and charming hostess with a vivid interest in people, a sense of humor and a good measure of elegance. She was brought up in the Sears town house on Beacon Hill and at the family summer house in Beverly, on the grounds of which she and Lodge built their own house. She attended finishing schools in Paris and was graduated from Miss May's School - now the Brimmer & May School. She was presented to Boston society at a dance at her parents' house.
