!BIOGRAPHY: Letter from Natalie Sears, Edgewater, FL, to Ray Sears in Duncan, OK; 1895-1994; Letter dtd 8 Mar 1993; ;copy in poss of Ray Sears; A famous painting of 2 little boys, Briton's uncles Howard and Henry Sears, hangs in my stepson's dining room. It was painted by Weatherby the famous itinerant painter known throughout New England. Israel Sacks, an antique dealer in NYC, came to our home in Providence, RI one snowy evening in 1955 and begged my husband to sell him this painting. He had traced it to our home from Edith Thacher Sears' estate! He handed my husband a check and said "write your own price." George Sears had these paintings restored in San Francisco by two sisters who are famous for their work.
