!Madeline Dodd- Seth Raymond 1855- formerly of Warren co, now of Marshall, IA, indicted with Robert Allen for "allowing the jail to become greatly out of repair in that they did allow doors and windows to said jail to fall down and be lost, plastering to fall off and remain off, cells, floors, and woodshed to be hacked and chopped to pieces, walls of the jailyard to become loose and dangerous--the whole jail to become unclean and filthy and dangerous to health so that the jail has become a common nuisnace. Commmissioners: Seth Raymond, Marshal Jones, RObert Allen. This is the only indication we have that Seth Raymond left Warren co, at any time, and there is no information about the length of his stay in IA. In the census of 1870, Seth Sears was enumerated in Columbus Boro. Seth and family came to Columbus PA in 1820 or 1828. After Caroline died, he married Diantha Arnold.

!Madeline Dodd - Samuel Raymond's genealogy shows Zacheus disappearing into Nova Scotia after the War in the write-up under his father, Comfort, yet in Zacheus' own paragraph, he supposedly "lived and died in Chenango co, NY," where his wife "lived to a very advanced age, dying about 1853," and "had two children, Enoch and Lewis." Leach (who update Samuel's work) seemed unaware that Zacheus had ever lived anywhere but CT and PA. In fact, he was living in Dutchess co, NY on the 1790 census, and was listed in Chenango co, NY in 1810 and 1820. There was a Zachariah Raymond in Herkimer co in 1800, which waas the parent county of Chenango and it's almost certain that Zachariah and Zacheus are the same person. In May 1780 Zacheus enlisted in the Continental Army as Private, for a period of three months and again in 1781 for six months and twenty days as a teamster. At Zacheus' deth, he was buried on his own farm on a hillside jsut off US Rt 6. Since his burial, a large cherry tree has grown above the grave, which is surrounded by a metal fence.
