S.P. May p.424 Thomas Sears was a soldier in the war of 1812. He removed to Hector, Schuyler co., NY, and the village of Searsburg, his residence, was named for him. He was a Member of the Assembly in 1846, to revise the Constitution of the State of New York, and Supervisor of Hector during many years.
